Each dog has its own individual run, unless there are multiple pets sharing from the same family. Silver Trails offers four different size accommodations for your pets.
Every private room as a solid stainless steel wall blocking their neighbor with a stainless steel fencing on top of the wall. Each dog has access to their own private, covered outside area. Your pet’s room has a doggie door that is opened by the kennel staff in the morning allowing your pet to enjoy the beautiful country setting.

All rooms have cots for your pets to sleep on. Silver Trails does have bedding available for the comfort of our guests. We do understand if you would like to bring your own bedding or toys. Just remember please label your pet’s items with their name and try not to bring their favorite items in case they are destroyed while you pet is away from home.
If you do bring bedding from home, we ask that it be something that can easily be washed. Some dogs may have an accident or get it dirty after playtime and we will send the items to the laundry to have them washed and dried.
Every day during your pets stay the rooms are disinfected and cleaned inside and out. Throughout the year, the entire inside areas of the kennel are climate controlled to keep your pet warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Classical music is played throughout the kennel 24 hours a day. The canine ear is very sensitive to sound and playing classical music has been proven to have a soothing impact on anxious dogs. We play classical music for our guests to provide them with an enjoyable environment and it also helps them relax at nap time in the afternoon.
Complimentary Day Visit:
At Silver Trails – Animal Inn we understand there may be some anxious feelings about leaving your pet for the first time. Silver Trails offers a Complimentary Day Visit for new guests. We want to insure that your pet is as comfortable as possible, and is prepared for their vacation stay at Silver Trails.
During this day visit your pet will be monitored and our staff will make recommendations if needed for their next visit. Phone us to schedule a complimentary day vist.
Meals:
Here at Silver Trails we offer three meals a day. But not every pet has the same feeding schedule. Let us know what your dogs schedule is at home and we will feed as close to your schedule as we can. We do provide food – (Iams, Blue Seal & Mealtime). We also have Pedigree & Mighty Dog canned feeds. If your pet is on a special diet, or does not eat one of our standard diets, we will gladly serve them the food that you bring with them from home. Please have your food from home labeled and in a container.
Vaccination Requirements:
- Rabies
- Canine Influenza
- Distemper (DHLPP)
- Bordetella (Canine Cough)
Medical Care:
We will administer any oral or topical medication that your pet currently receiving, including injection at no extra charge. Please have all medications labeled with your pet’s name and the correct dosage.
If your pet should require medical attention while in our care, it is our procedure to contact your veterinarian. If you pet requires an office visit, we will transport the pet to your veterinarian, if it is located within a reasonable traveling distance. We reserve the right to use our own local veterinarian depending upon the problem.
