The Inn
Silver Trails
Animal Inn is located in a quite country setting of 60 acres of
woodlands and fields, on the shoreline of Connecticut.
As members of
the ABKA, Silver Trails willing excepts the responsibility for
the care of your pets while you are away. As part of that
responsibility we continue our membership in the ABKA and
operate in accordance with the ABKA Bill of Rights for Boarding
Pets.
We are one of
only a few ABKA, (now known as PET CARE SERVICES ASSOCIATION), certified kennels in Connecticut and we strictly
follow the operating procedures set by the ABKA. This will
insure that your pet will receive the highest standards of care.

We at Silver
Trails invite you to visit our Inn and experience our total
commitment to your pet. We want to insure that your pet's visit
with us is comfortable and enjoyable.
You may tour
our facility any time during regular operating hours:
We are open:
7:30am to 7:30pm
seven days a week
The office is closed
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter
Pet care is
giving every day of the year, our pet care personnel are taking
care of you pet's even if the office is closed.
ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES
Guest may arrive
or depart during regular business hours. You are charged for
your arrival day no matter what time you arrive. We would
appreciate it if you would arrive an hour before closing so that
we can make your pet comfortable before closing for the night.
Owners that pick
up before our 12:00 pm checkout
time will not be charged for that day. A boarding charge will
not be charged for pets that have a grooming appointment on
their day of departure.
PAYMENT
Payment in full
is required at the time of checkout. We accept payment in the
form of cash, check, Visa or MasterCard, and debit cards. We
reserve the right to receive a deposit for long term boarding.
DAY VISIT
If you are
leaving your pet for the first time and have concerns about how
they will do in a new environment, we suggest that you schedule
a day visit for your pet. This will give your pet a chance to be
a part of the activity at the Inn, and give our staff a chance
to meet your pet, and assess how they react to staying at the
Inn. More importantly, when you and your pet reunite a the end
of the day they will realize that they get to go home after
their new adventure.
VACCINE REQUIREMENTS FOR BOARDING
All guests are
required to have current vaccinations, this is for protection of
your pet's health as well as our staff and other guests of the
Inn.

MEDICAL CARE
If your pet should require
medical attention while in our care, it is our procedure to
contact your veterinarian. If your pet requires an office
visit, we will transport them to their own veterinarian if
it is within a reasonable traveling distance. We reserve the
right to use our own local veterinarian.

MEDICATIONS
We will administer any
oral or topical medications that your pet is currently
receiving, including injections at no extra charge. Please
have all medications labeled with your pet's name and the
correct dosage.
